Anniversary messages
Towards the end of the year, participating schools nominate a person deserving of recognition in their school community.
Catherine’s office arranges for their name to be engraved on the school’s shield and they are presented with a certificate.
The first shields were presented in 2001 and now around 60 local schools participate annually.
To support the wonderful work of local RSLs, Childcare Centres, Kindergartens and Rural Fire Brigades, Catherine gifts participating organisations a basket of chocolates to be raffled or donated to someone at Easter time.
To mark significant birthdays or wedding anniversaries, residents may apply for a congratulatory letter.
Catherine’s office can arrange for a letter from herself, the Prime Minister, Premier, Governor General and His Majesty the King (depending on the milestone).
Please note that documentation like marriage certificates or ID are required to arrange congratulatory messages.
If you have a special event coming up, or would like Catherine to visit your organisation, please reach out.
My office can supply Australian, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags for the Ballarat electorate.
Local community organisations and groups including schools and non-for-profit groups can receive National flags. Please contact my office to request a flag.
I can provide a limited number of National flags to private individuals; however, a formal request must be made in writing and numbers are strictly limited.
