DIGITAL HEALTH LITERACY GRANTS FOR BALLARAT
Ballarat Library and Ballarat North Neighbourhood House have received a $5,000 grant to teach digital literacy skills to the Ballarat community.
“More and more of our lives are lived online, and health is no exception”, Ms King said.
“With new resources such as My Health Record helping more members of our community improve their digital health literacy is more important than ever.”
“This is good in that it allows us to access and quickly provide a wide variety of information regarding our health, but it really is tough for the many people in our community who struggle when it comes to computers and the internet.”
“This grant will help Ballarat Library and Ballarat North Neighbourhood House to reach out to more members of our community, helping older residents, those with disabilities, from migrant communities or disadvantaged backgrounds to understand and take control of their health online”.
This grant will be provided by the Good Things Foundation.
