Stronger Communities Programs Round 9 - OPEN NOW
I am calling for ‘Expressions of Interest’ from community organisations in the Ballarat electorate who are interested in applying for capital funding under the Stronger Communities Program (Round 9).
The Program invites Members of Parliament to engage with their communities to recommend capital projects that strengthen their communities.
Up to $150,000 of funding will be available across the Ballarat electorate for small capital projects which improve community participation and contribute to the vibrancy and viability of local communities.
Individual grants of between $2,500 and $20,000 are available for eligible projects.
Round 9 aims to support projects that provide social benefits for local communities. For this round, grant funding will be up to 100 per cent of eligible project costs (except for councils, where grant funding will be up to 50 per cent of eligible project costs). Councils will need to provide matched funding contributions towards their eligible project.
There have been significant changes to the types of projects eligible for funding under the program, so please read the full guidelines at Stronger Communities Programme Round 9 | business.gov.au to ensure that projects are consistent with the updated program objectives and eligibility criteria.
If this Program sounds like something you might be interested in, I am keen to hear about any proposals that you might have for the funding. If you are interested, please send through an Expression of Interest for your proposal. Expression of Interest forms can be obtained from my office by emailing Catherine.King.MP@aph.gov.au.
You have until 5.00pm on Thursday 13 February 2025 to submit an EOI with my office.
A Community Advisory Committee will then identify which proposals represent the best investment for our community. The Committee will meet to decide which proposals are successful and applicants will then be invited to submit a full application to the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts for final approval.
Should you have any questions about this grant opportunity, please do not hesitate to contact my office by calling 5338 8123.
