DO THE LIBERALS CARE ABOUT BALLARAT?
Federal Member for Ballarat, Catherine King has today questioned why, barely two months out from the Federal Election, the Liberals are yet to nominate a candidate for Ballarat.
The Liberal’s candidate for the 2016 Federal Election was nominated roughly 6 months before the polling date.
“In seats all across the country the major parties have nominated candidates for the upcoming election, but in Ballarat we have not heard a peep from the Liberals”.
“The upcoming election will be a contest of visions for Australia”.
“Labor stands for investments in health, education and a fairer economy that works for everyone”.
“Nationally, we know that the Liberals stand for a continuation of the policies that have seen our hospitals cut, Medicare rebates frozen, and the stagnation of Australian’s wages”.
“Locally, it is hard to escape the conclusion that the Liberals don’t care about Ballarat”.
“Whenever I’m out and about in Ballarat or having meetings at my office I am hearing what matters to the people of Ballarat”.
“We know the Liberals and Nationals are consumed by their infighting, but they should not forget that their government represent all Australians”.
“It is a shame that the Liberals don’t seem interested in the people of Ballarat”.
