Trentham Men’s Shed Grant
Federal member for Ballarat, Catherine King yesterday visited the future site of the Cool Country Men’s Shed in Trentham to announce a grant through the federal Stronger Communities program.
The Men’s Shed has received a grant of $20,000 towards the creation of the new shed, this will be the first in the Trentham area.
“This grant will make a real difference to this community”, Ms King said.
“The creation of a men’s shed in Trentham will mean there is a new space for men to come together to learn, to support one another, and to engage socially with their community”.
“Other communities across our region have already seen the benefits that come with the opening of a Men’s Shed, and I am delighted that those in Trentham and surrounds will be granted the same opportunity”.
“Well done to all those who were involved in securing this grant, and the other fund which will make the Cool Country Men’s Shed a reality”.
