GRANTS TO BOOST TOURISM THROUGH UPGRADES TO CARAVAN PARKS
The Australian Government is backing tourism in the Ballarat region with almost $200,000 in grant funding to support upgraded facilities and amenities at Creswick Holiday Park and Daylesford Holiday Park.
The Caravan Park Grants Program, which is providing $10 million for 111 park upgrade projects across Australia, is part of Government’s $48 million package of new funding to support Australia’s tourism and travel businesses and workers in their continued recovery from the impacts of the pandemic.
The Creswick Holiday Park will receive $99,110 to update electrical infrastructure to cater for future park expansion in the lead up to the 2026 Commonwealth Games. The funding will also
support the installation of three new single rooms within one moveable dwelling.
The Daylesford Holiday Park will receive $100,000 for eight glamping tents with bathrooms, and a heated swimming pool.
Caravan parks are a popular accommodation option for families, budget conscious travellers and people keen to explore Australia, particularly in the regions.

“In recent years we have all rediscovered the abundance of amazing destinations and experiences in our own backyard, and the fun and adventure of exploring our own country.
These grants for Creswick and Daylesford holiday parks will help to improve accommodation options and visitor experiences for both local and international travellers. They will also deliver economic benefits for the broader community.”
