New Facilities For St James’ Parish School
Member for Ballarat Catherine King today visited at St James’ Parish School in Sebastopol to officially open their new arts and early learning centre.
The new space was delivered with the support of a $750,000 grant from the Australian Government’s Capital Grants Program, and with the school contributing $350,000.
The project involved the construction of a performing arts space and amenities, the reconstruction of student entry and associated works, and demolition of student amenities and associated spaces.
This multipurpose facility is home to music sessions/workshops and purposeful play experiences, including weekly community playgroup and daily play workshops focusing on language development, social and emotional skills as well as therapeutic limit setting.
The building is also used by community groups throughout the week.
The Albanese Government is committed to providing all schools with appropriate funding and investing in a better and fairer education system.
