NOTHING FOR BALLARAT
Tonight is another disappointing night for Ballarat, with no announcements in the Budget delivering funding to our region.
This comes just two days after the Morrison Government’s $7.5 billion infrastructure announcements included nothing for our region.
“Ballarat, like all of Australia, has been hit hard by coronavirus”, Ms King said.
“Our community needs investment to get people back to work, people spending at local businesses, and our economy moving again. Sadly that is not what was delivered tonight.”
“Tonight’s budget includes no money for social housing, no money for workers or businesses doing it tough, and no infrastructure that would create jobs and improve the towns that make up our region”.
“This is another disappointment from a Government which has already delivered too many”.
